In a market flooded with brands claiming to be healthy, consumers who seek healthier alternatives to satisfy their sweet tooth are often misled with false “no added sugar” slogans that lead them to over-consume sugar or resort to mundane choices that don’t satisfy their cravings. So, finding a way to launch a new local brand that truly holds sugar-free, gluten-free claims to heart and cutting through the noise of billion-dollar brands that have dominated the market for decades, was the true challenge.

Client : The Curly Bakers
Sector : Health & Wellness, F&B
Market : Lebanon

To bring this brand to life, we developed a corporate identity that truly pays the brand justice. The identity was inspired by the playful and positive personalities of the open-minded ladies behind this successful bakery. Inspired by their curly hair, we created a unique logo that reflects how personal this brand is to the owners and how much of themselves they have put into creating mouth-watering recipes that give you all the pleasure of sweets with none of the consequences.

This curl became an emblem that we injected in every branding piece for a more consistent approach and to truly own the curl as a distinctive mark that makes the brand instantly recognizable. The color palette was a mix of vibrant pastel colors that show how hearty these products are and mimic a feeling of excitement. These colors also complement the products nicely in photography and put the treats in the sweet spotlight.

We had the pleasure of working with two passionate ladies from the conceptualizing phase, the development of the brand, and the strategy, photography, and production, all the way to the social media rollout.

In the menu offered by the Curly Bakers, sugar was replaced with a natural sweetener called Xylitol. According to Dr. Najwa Husseini, who specializes in metabolic and regenerative diseases, Xylitol is the best natural sweetener to incorporate into your diet for a healthier lifestyle. It has a very low glycemic index, meaning it doesn’t induce a sugar or insulin spike after consumption which leads to recurrent sugar cravings.

The result was a cohesive, playful, inviting brand that began building a fanbase of healthy eaters and diabetics with a relentless sweet tooth!
